Working On A Building
The House. The Person. The Community.
All three get built here.
We Build More Than Homes. We Rebuild Lives.
At Working On A Building, Inc. (WOAB), we believe everyone deserves an opportunity for a new beginning.
Through hands-on construction training, meaningful work, mentorship, and a supportive community, we help individuals overcome difficult circumstances, develop valuable skills, and build a foundation for lasting change.
As we build affordable homes for people who need them, we’re also helping build stronger individuals, families, and communities.
The house. The person. The community. All three get built here.
Daniel’s Place
Where Second Chances Become New Beginnings
Daniel’s Place is our vision for a community where people can rebuild their lives through meaningful work, hands-on construction training, mentorship, and supportive relationships.
Here, participants will learn valuable trades while building affordable homes for people who need them.
More than a workforce training center, Daniel’s Place will be a place of purpose, belonging, and hope—where faith can be explored freely and every person has an opportunity to begin again.
How Daniel’s Place Works
Building Skills. Restoring Hope. Creating New Beginnings.
At Daniel’s Place, we believe meaningful work can help change the direction of a person’s life.
Through hands-on construction training, participants learn valuable building trades while working alongside experienced mentors and building affordable homes for people who need them.
But our mission goes beyond teaching construction. We want to create a supportive community where individuals can develop confidence, establish healthy habits, build lasting relationships, and discover a renewed sense of purpose.
Rooted in Christian faith, Daniel’s Place will also offer opportunities for prayer, Bible study, and spiritual growth—always by personal choice.
Every home we build represents more than a place to live. It represents the possibility of a new beginning.
Who We Serve
Everyone Deserves a Second Chance.
At Working On A Building, Inc. (WOAB), we believe a person’s past does not have to determine their future.
We seek to serve individuals rebuilding their lives after addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and other difficult circumstances.
Many people simply need someone to believe in them, an opportunity to work, and a supportive community where they can begin again.
Through meaningful employment, hands-on training, mentorship, and personal accountability, we help participants develop the skills and confidence needed to move toward a stable, independent future.
We don’t just see where someone has been. We see who they can become.
Real Stories. Changed Lives.
One Life Changed. Four Children Given a New Beginning.
One of the men we’ve worked alongside has a story that reminds us why this mission matters.
After twelve years in prison, struggling with addiction and difficult circumstances, he began rebuilding his life through sobriety, meaningful work, and the support of people who believed in him.
Over time, he established a stable home and regained custody of his four children.
His story is about more than overcoming addiction. It’s about a father being reunited with his children, a family finding stability, and a future that once seemed out of reach becoming possible again.
When one life is restored, the impact reaches an entire family.
This is the kind of transformation that inspires the vision for Daniel’s Place.
Our Vision for Daniel’s Place
A Place to Work. A Place to Belong. A Place to Begin Again.
Daniel’s Place is more than a workforce training center. Our vision is to create a community where people can develop valuable skills, build meaningful relationships, and discover a renewed sense of purpose.
At the heart of the campus will be a construction workshop where participants receive hands-on training while building affordable homes for families and individuals who need them.
Surrounding the workshop, we envision housing, shared spaces, and a supportive environment that encourages personal growth, responsibility, and lasting change.
Rooted in Christian faith, Daniel’s Place will also provide voluntary opportunities for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
We’re not simply building a place where people can work. We’re building a place where lives can change.
Building the Future Together
Help Us Turn Second Chances Into New Beginnings.
Daniel’s Place is a vision too important to build alone.
We are inviting individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, and community partners to join us in creating a place where people can rebuild their lives through meaningful work, mentorship, and supportive relationships.
Your support can help us establish the workshop, develop the campus, provide construction training, and create opportunities for people who are ready for a new beginning.
There are many ways to be part of this mission—through financial contributions, donated materials and equipment, professional expertise, volunteer service, and community partnerships.
Together, we can build more than homes. We can help rebuild lives.
